Gifted Awareness Week 2012

To mark Gifted Awareness Week (18 – 24th June 2012), the New Zealand Association for Gifted Children is running competitions to celebrate gifted children, their families and educators. This year’s theme is “Connections” and may be interpreted in any way you choose.

  • The competitions are open to students living within New Zealand.
  • Judges will be looking for creativity and originality.
  • Entries close Friday 22nd June 2012.

Who are we?

The Wellington Association for Gifted Children (WAGC) is commonly known as the Wellington Explorers Club, and is affiliated to the NZAGC.

The objectives of the association are:

  • champion the cause of gifted children
  • provide opportunities for gifted children and their families to interact
  • foster the educational and social development of gifted children
  • provide gifted children with exposure to people and experiences of potential interest to them
  • support members of the association in issues surrounding giftedness
